The Child Aid Papua Foundation aims to address the educational and economic challenges faced by the local community in Raja Ampat, particularly in the fields of marine and eco-tourism.

It is known that access to quality education, specifically in the marine and eco- tourism sectors, is limited in Raja Ampat. Existing educational facilities and resources are insufficient to meet the demands of the local community and the growing tourism industry. Additionally, the lack of proper dive training areas and digital technology integration hampers the development of necessary skills for sustainable tourism practices and digital literacy.
Efforts have been made by various stakeholders, including local organizations, government bodies, and non-profit initiatives, to address educational and economic challenges in Raja Ampat. However, comprehensive research specifically focused on the integration of dive training, digital technology education, and improved learning environments for marine and eco-tourism in Raja Ampat is limited.
Past research may be insufficient at addressing the specific problem of integrating dive training, digital technology education, and improved learning environments for marine and eco-tourism in Raja Ampat. Given these limitations, the Blue Ocean School Papua project seeks to build upon existing knowledge and address the specific gaps in integrating dive training, digital technology education, and improved learning environments to effectively meet the educational and economic needs of the local community in Raja Ampat's marine and eco-tourism industry.
The local community in Raja Ampat faces challenges in accessing quality education and economic opportunities. Limited infrastructure, inadequate facilities, and a lack of digital technology hinder the development of skills necessary for sustainable tourism practices and digital literacy. Additionally, the absence of a dedicated space for dive training restricts the potential for local students to acquire dive certifications, hindering their ability to participate in the thriving diving industry.

Child Aid Papua Foundation
seeks to address these challenges by constructing a purpose-built facility that combines digital technology, dive training, and classroom space. Leveraging the existing vocational school specializing in marine and eco-tourism, the project will provide students with comprehensive dive certification programs, equipping them with the necessary skills for the diving industry. The incorporation of digital technology will enhance the educational experience and foster digital literacy among students, preparing them for the digital era.
This project will have a transformative impact on the local community and the sustainable development of Raja Ampat. By offering dive training and dive certification, the project empowers students with marketable skills, creating new economic opportunities within the marine and eco-tourism sectors. The integration of digital technology in the curriculum enables students to develop crucial digital literacy skills, enhancing their employability and opening doors to a wider range of career prospects. Moreover, the construction of a dedicated building provides a proper space for learning, fostering a conducive educational environment and instilling a sense of pride and ownership within the community.

In conclusion, by providing a dedicated learning space, state-of-the- art dive training facilities, integrated digital technology education, and a focus on environmental conservation and cultural preservation, the project addresses the critical needs and aspirations of the local community.
This proposal presents an opportunity to bridge the educational gap, empower the local workforce, and cultivate sustainable tourism practices in Raja Ampat. The Child Aid Papua Foundation serves as a beacon of progress and a testament in nurturing the talents and aspirations of the students.
With the support of generous donors, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of the students and the future of Raja Ampat. By investing in this project, we not only provide quality education but also pave the way for a more sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous community.
Let us come together and build a brighter future for Raja Ampat. Together, we can unlock the potential of the local community, preserve the natural wonders of the region, and create opportunities that will benefit generations to come. Join us in supporting our Environmental School and be a part of this remarkable journey towards educational excellence, environmental stewardship, and sustainable tourism in Raja Ampat.
