Society for Dolphin Conservation (GRD)

Every year, over 300,000 dolphins and whales die a gruesome death as bycatch in fishing nets - Overfishing of the oceans means they can no longer find food - “Ghost nets” drifting around without a master threaten the breathtaking biodiversity of marine mammals - Dolphins are hunted worldwide, e.g. to use their meat as bait for sharks.

At a time of great species extinction on our doorstep, but also far out on the world's oceans, it is of immense importance that we do not allow the living nature around us to be exploited at will! Because extinction is forever-

Together with our partners, we are taking concrete action against species extinction with conservation projects around the world. We are fighting for intact oceans that are home to intact animal populations.
