Storm Water Systems

Gary Hopkins and Mark Kirves working side-by-side for more than 30 years to isolate pollutants from groundwater in the thermoplastics and plastic welding industries, co-founded Storm Water Systems. In 1992, we founded our first company,  Plastek Werks, Inc., a plastic welding and fabrication company specializing in manufacturing and field service throughout the United States, Central and South America. Plastek Werks quickly became the trusted source for a broad scope of high-performance thermoplastics services. 

Almost 15 years later, Storm Water Systems’ story began.In 2006, Plastek Werks was contacted by a customer with hopes of finding a solution for an unsightly problem: trash and debris in a waterway adjacent to his business. They visited the site and were shocked at the amount of litter and debris and immediately began to search for a solution. Shortly thereafter, Storm Water Systems was founded in Cleveland, Georgia with the goal of providing products and services for the removal of litter, debris and other pollutants from our world’s natural waterways. Now we are removing tons of floating and non-floating litter to preserve and ensure a future of clean water and capture litter before it reaches our oceans.Innovation, excellence and action have always been our guiding principles, which drives Storm Water Systems to be a solutions-oriented company. Because of this, we are proud of the fact that our entire company was founded as a direct result of our drive to provide our customers with the best solution possible for whatever challenge they may be facing.

Additionally, our skilled technicians manufacture all products in-house in our well-equipped 33,000 square foot facility producing products of the highest quality, resulting in unsurpassed customer satisfaction.
